AMETHYST

Amethyst is the February birthstone and has long been favoured by royalty and church authorities. It is also known to bestow upon the wearer contentment, spirituality, dreams, healing, peace, happiness, love and intuition.

TURQUOISE

The word “turquoise” originates from the French and was used by Venetian traders who brought it from the great bazaars in Turkey. One of the oldest materials used for jewellery, archaeologists have found beads which date back to 5000 BC. It is the December birthstone and enhances spiritual harmony and peace of mind.

PEARLS

Since ancient times, the pearl has been a symbol of unblemished perfection, purity and innocence. It s the oldest known gem and the Latin word for pearl literally means "unique".

QUARTZ

The Romans believed that quartz was ice that had turned to rock and had cooling properties. Smoky quartz, which represents Sagittarius and Pisces, brings about relaxation, calm, and grounding.

TOPAZ

This alluring gem is available in a variety of colours. Blue topaz is extremely rare and the bluer the colour, the more expensive the stone. Mystic topaz is most unusual as it portrays an "aurora borealis" effect of many bewitching shades.

RUBY

The ruby is the birthstone for July, and brings good luck to lovers and gamblers. It inspires passion and romance and is able to stimulate sexual desire and energy.

PERIDOT

Peridot, is the birthstone for August and also the gemstone for the 16th anniversary of marriage. The ancient source of peridot was from Saint John Island in the Red Sea also known as the "Serpent Island" and therefore, peridot is often thought to protect against snakes. This gemstone is believed to protect against nervousness and help to heal hurt feelings.

CORAL

Since the sixth century, coral has fascinated mankind with its passionate red colour.
It is believed the wearer will be bestowed with physical and mental energy, an increased lifespan, marital happiness and youth.

MOTHER OF PEARL

This lovely irridiscent shell is a natural classic and has the spiritual properties of mental clarity, intuition, sensitivity, imagination, adaptability and cooperation.

MOONSTONE

The Romans believed that this stone was formed out of moonlight. It is believed to aid introspection, reflection, new beginnings, insight, tenderness, harmony and peace.

GARNET

Garnets resemble pomegranate seeds, hence its name. It stimulates passion, creativity and curbs one’s anger. Garnets are said to renew love and aid the wearer in communicating emotions more openly. It is the birthstone for January.
